Of Another Time Poem by Susan LeGree

Of Another Time

Like a miracle
you enter and flow
through me
Sometimes you are
so distant,
and at others you
intrude, so that
I cannot, wish not,
to ignore you
Times I call out
to you, and
you laugh and
turn away;
saying not today,
not today.
Tomorrow you come
unbidden,
like a soft mist
of rain testing
the arid soil
for welcome, and
the drenching of you
