Of Nature So Little Poem by Francis Duggan

Of Nature So Little

Of Nature so little I can claim to know
Yet my wonder of her never does cease to grow
From her we do learn something new every day
She lives by her own laws and in her own way
The artists and writers she always inspire
And of singing her praises could one ever tire?
The babble of the river and the sound of the freshening breeze
That soughs in the park in the bushes and trees
I have felt love for Nature since I was a boy
And a walk in her quiet places I do enjoy
Yet there is far more to her than the eyes can see
Her secrets she keeps hidden from you and me
So little I know of her that much I realize
But for me every day she has some new surprise.
