Of Poetry And Poets Poem by Francis Duggan

Of Poetry And Poets

Rating: 5.0

You ask me who is or who is not a poet
And of who should be worthy of literary note
But since i am one without a literary degree
why don't you ask somebody other than me
I was a young fellow at the death of rhyme
And this is going back many Seasons in time
To the literary critics rhymers are the non poets of today
And beneath their criticism it does seem this way
Suppose few things in life ever does seem to last
Those who wrote in rhyme were the poets of the past
But the past just a memory of the forever gone
Time with it brings changes and keeps ticking on
And since i am one without a literary degree
Of poetry and poets ask one other than me.
