Office No Office Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Office No Office

Office no office

Once again came over
Brother; he's friend

He had nuts; I had wine
Last bottle of Red wine

And we shared; as we do
Every time that he comes

Radio and laptop turned to off
Lot was left for long time; had to talk

In a while his office was topic
"We don't work in office"

He said and; I was shocked
"You go work in a cloud? "

Internet and Laurence
He hooked and; we both watched.

"Time has passed; things have changed."
Boss moving side to side: "Think Bigger"

"No landline, cubicle, fixed table with pictures
All must go in the air, " he mentions we observe.

Soon it is my birthday; sixty-eight
Retired, retarded, everyone in my age

These clouds and changes, office-less
Blasphemy to peers; sound like craze

In my mind I return to school with atom
Nucleus, orbiting electrons
First in line but later in cloud
Fifty to sixty years, so much change?
Evolution, Charles Darwin...?
