Officials Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Officials

Officials

Open eyes and ears
-officials
-do not mean one place
-I ignore the borders
-I belong to all so,
-no flag nor anthem.

Having been particle
-I am a home ridden
-and a well-travelled.

F, borders!
F, borders!
F, borders!

Me? Bowing?
-no, never!

Who the hell are, can be
-those who lick the yogurt?

Well, I guess
-I need to explain!

In Farsi or Persian
-like many older tongues
-one can find proverbs
-to shrink the words' length
-of windbags (like myself)
-who talk much but useless.

Yogurt was carried in clay jars
-the large one was "Taghar."

And what if breaks one
-who can go and collect
-the yogurt scattered?

Some went and used hands and
-some bowed and licked ground;
-latter was named: "Licker! "

Such people wished, prayed
-that dropped large clay…

Same is with governments
-and many positions.

As expert, I know well
-about the officials
-who act as the Licker.

These worthless officials
-are sitting in seats while
-nations lack wiser ones!

The ego, selfishness and loud barks
-are far more in licking officials
-take a look at White House!

Another was Reagan…
-after years as "Cowboy! "
-Saw himself as "John Wayne, "
- (One man with horse and gun,
-the winner in all films!)

Therefore he, brought wars
-inflated Saddam
-shed blood
-in cities, in desert and sky!

Millions were killed and displaced
-then arrived the bastard;
-the pilot child of oil…

He followed his father and master
-attacked and went further
-established torture cells
-in US to Europe
- (everywhere!)

Like them are plenty
-some with the pen and key
-deaf and dumb to the needs…
