Oh Friend! - Poem by Abekah Emmanuel
Oh friend! don't allow her beauty
To put you into confusion:
Run your dreams with alacrity
And move with determination.
Oh friend! don't allow her beauty:
To make you a fool of nature,
Keep your dreams with sincerity
And brighter will be your future.
Oh friend! don't allow her beauty:
To overshadow your thinking
Caliber; do remember eternity
And the fire always burning.
Oh friend! don't allow her beauty:
To blindfold your eyes from seeing,
For all that lies in are vanity
That keeps the soul in sinning.
