Oh Little Child Poem by Meg Harrison

Oh Little Child

Rating: 3.3

Oh Little Child

Oh little child, I can never leave you.
You will always be special.
I wish you were my own,
If you were I would never leave you
The wind is the time, I can be with you.
I am the kite in the wind,
I will always be blowing overhead.
you can hold the string,
and you will always have me.
Don't let go, hold on tight;
I will not blow away.
If there is so much wind and you set me free,
you can run and follow me.
and if i get caught up in a tree,
You will find a way to get me down.
when there is no wind,
I cannot fly so when the wind does blow.
I hope you are the little child that will hold my string
and let me fly overhead, and hold on tight
because I am with you.

If it has the word 'child' I seek it out when seen. These are wonderful and loving sentiments here....Children are our greatest gift, even when they're grown. marci.:
