Oh, Simi Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Oh, Simi

Rating: 5.0

I cried over Simi’s* death
She was in my arms when breathed her last
I chanted religious verse in her ear
I broke down over her

She was buried with full respect
She was so kind and obedient in act
I used to feed her with my hand
She was not only member but one close friend

She will pick my scooter’s horn
She will run and warn family members
She used to make out with sharp sense
I was so much attached with her presence

I recall her pregnancy time
She may not allow any one to come near
I saw her taking care of new born
There was certainly change in turn

Such type of dog is not among us today
But I miss her so much and that much I can say
She had made me cry with her love and closeness
Even today we all remember her and express sadness

*Simi.. Small Pamerian breed of dog
