Oh, To Be In Love Poem by Alfred Ramos

Oh, To Be In Love

Overtones of loneliness stroll through the backyard of my unused senses
Dreamless nights crowd behind one another testing my defenses
Unscheduled feelings run randomly across my seamless skin
Goosebumps corn pop at the thought of what might start and never end
Deep sighs produced within their prison are pumped though a freeway of veins
Perspiration pours out, emptying treasured thoughts stored in my brain
Trembling knees and rattling bones echo vibrations of an unknown magnitude
Faceless expressions beam out, transmitting visions of a romantic interlude
Deep in the intestinal dungeon where hearts have been known to have been eaten
Temptation swims in my bloodstream longing to be sweeten
Desire hides in a virgin forest waiting for the first fire of the season
My eyes drool in anticipation of naughty things for which there is no reason
If there is an absurd conclusion to the riddle of this rhyme
Then let’s wade in the sea of love taking turns laughing from time to time
