Old Blues Poem by Dannais dde Daneann

Old Blues

Blue lanterns stay along the lane.
They drop their bleak and lonesome light.
And by the snow and by the rain
I strive for you with all my might...

My soul is blue, heart's making swoon.
And on my lashes - drops of dews.
But look with hope when sing in croon,
This old, old Blues,
This old, old Blues...

For whole this street, familiar are
My sounding voice and even pace...
Remembers even Morning Star
My kissing you, and first embrace.

My soul is blue, heart's making swoon.
And on my lashes - drops of dews.
But look with hope when sing in croon,
This old, old Blues,
This old, old Blues...

So, we broke up, but I believe,
That I will meet with you again.
I know, together we'll achieve
The Way to endless Lover's Lane.

So, we broke up, but I'll again,
Come back to you through dark and blues,
And even snow and even rain
Will not mute sounds of the Blues,
This old, old Blues...
This old, old Blues…
