Old Door Poem by soren Barrett

Old Door

Broken with age held together with tape and glue, a few nails too
where wood still solid will hold, the rest infested with termites and mold
Old parts no longer in stock to repair, a relic that has stood there
for a century of more, a battered and tattered door
Well wishers have said replace, a gaping hole in home's face
If this antique could speak instead of creak
A lack of tongue does bar this door from speaking of each mar and scar and more
