Old Gold - Poem by Tania Linsdell

He speaks to me of richness
As He draws me to His side.
In darkness and in silence
These treasures He will hide.

And as my heart imagines
No Promises denied,
Self must follow Saviour
To the place where He has died.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Easter often means chocolate to people, and I have a passion for Old Gold dark chocolate. This Easter I have been reminded that as Christians we often need to be reminded of the need to put aside indulgence and take up our cross and follow Jesus
