Old Man Poem by Trevor Dion

Old Man

A man on a lake
He sits there and waits
With the bait on the line
With everything fine

Patiently as can be
World left him alone
To fish his last bass
Well the waves quietly splash

He lived his life
Family all dead
Nothing left unsaid
Memory is all he has left

Just on a boat
In the silences of the lake
He fell to sleep
Never to wake
