Old Man Blues Poem by T.L. Toadvine

Old Man Blues

I don't know
Where I'm going to

And I don't know
How I've lived all of these years
Without you

I just stare at that
Big ol' moon

And pray that I'll find you soon
And sing these old man blues

Winter, Spring
Turned to Summer & Fall

Another year waiting
Dreams
Come & gone

Can't take 'em with you
That's what they say

Can't save 'em up
For a rainy day

Empty pockets
And a heart that's true

Another midnight
Blacker than blue
Singing these old man blues
