Old Pride Poem by Ndina Kamaro Muofhe

Old Pride

Sound of the old guitar uplifted the mood
Like an appearance of an old crush
As she passed, the old desire flamed
The dance floor knew my shoes
Been long since I got such a muse
Such a feeling of a different meaning

Rhythm from the strings,
Swept away the black mode
Left me pure as a gold
Shining in deserts along the Nile
Such, is a glorious mile

In the night, I became a knight
Such courage was a reaper of the odds
To make way to this even moment

Old pride of my wishes,
How do you provoke my blushes?
