Old Tortoise And Evergreen Rabbit Poem by Sumit Ganguly

Old Tortoise And Evergreen Rabbit

Rating: 5.0

Both of them are running
from Aesop's days of simplicity
stamina and diligence
win over lethargy and insincerity.

Again in 1934
Disney shoot them at running spot
old tortoise detested sweethearts so he won
evergreen rabbit enjoyed life and lost.

I find them still running
influential rabbit holds a sure hope,
the tortoise will lose this time
and be condemned for taking dope.

Based on Disney's movie 'The Tortoise And The Rabbit'. (1934)

An old fable with a new twist. Don't think I've seen the movie but the tortoise sounds like some modern sportsmen who get found out. Full of interest. Tom
