On A Day Like Today In The Southern Fall Poem by Francis Duggan

On A Day Like Today In The Southern Fall

Rating: 5.0

Such beautiful weather around around twenty degrees
White butterflies dancing in the sunshine and breeze
That blows through the park in a southerly way
So good to be living on a day like today
The magpie is fluting on the blackwood tree
And who could mistake the song of the pee wee
And everywhere I turn to look I can see
That the beauty of Nature is all around me
Though little of her ways we can claim to know
So much to our Earth Mother all of us owe
The respect that is due to her few of us pay
Yet to describe her beauty words could never say
A memory for me to cherish and for to recall
Of this lovely day in March in the Southern Fall.
