On A Mission Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

On A Mission

Rating: 5.0

In this journal of life salvation
I may sometimes fall unexpectedly
Due to the unsteady rough terrain
Or my weary legs that stumble
Or yet my eyes that focus poorly
All to my weakness I acknowledge

But forbid it that I dwell permanently
On the ground where I fall in regret
To tarry in the filth of the abominable
Tango with them that fall consciously
Derail my mission for which I am made
And depart in shame unaccomplished

Your lovely poem speaks to the heart, as salvation is our most urgent mission. TFS
