That this scene at peace appeals
To me, as Earth, heart-leapt
No smile or sunray, musing on
Clouded o'er, can be kept.
Spring-bright, and invariably
Of a frolic nature.
Where love in bloom, grass atop, spins
With youth's blooming feature.
As near to which background hum
Hummingbird's, angel-winged!
And though afar, its kindred warmth
Home's, felt Heaven-ringed!
