On A Subject Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

On A Subject

On a subject

I sometimes laugh at reader's comments
They not only speak their mind
But try to expose and find
Something new which was not even intended

I started writing at later stage
And there were youngsters of thee same age
One young lady got infuriated and questioned about my presence
She blasted me and told to be airborne for hell at once

I tried to convince that I am also new comer
But she was in anger and added "go to hell my dear"
I don't want you to be near
Don't speak a work to fall on my ears

I felt no bad but had a reservation
People wanted bond and close relation
To know each other's views
And agree to few if not more

So with passage of time and association
We have developed sense of realization
Nobody may want to enter on a subject
That speaks of hatred and silly talks in fact

But generally, we know the trend
And they also send
Their views respectively
As we mutually agree relatively

Shujaat Hussain Thanks Dr Anwer Ghani for giving me your literary platform. It is a matter of pride, honour, pleasure, and strength. I consider your emergence as an emancipation of literature from particular colony. Now literature is no longer a slave of any class and country. Thanks once again. May God bless His bounties upon you. Like · Reply · 1 · 3 hrs · Edited
