On Face Value Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

On Face Value

“Why do you want to lose prestige?
Use outdated view that amounts as wastage of time
People may not tell you on face
But neglect you in all the cases

These ideas struck to my mind
It forced me to think of such kind
“But how can that be ascertained”?
I resisted defeatist views and retorted

How can I accept it with lying head?
When I consider self as well read
With fair enough amount of knowledge
To write about poet’s will on golden page

It speaks little about you in general
If not accepted for any appeal
Your energy is wasted for such an effort
Asif you are standing guilty in court

So my pen refuses to ink
And keep any link
Where your work is not realized as useful contribution
It mustbe taken on face value as solution
