On Hallowed Ground Poem by R B Seals

On Hallowed Ground

Hidden somewhere betwixt east ‘n west
Where rainbows quietly lie in rest,
Cherubs descend and circle ‘round
In pasture hushed, though little sound,

To witness a miracle in light of day;
A blessed event: the birth of Fenway—
The first newborn of the current year.
Indeed—as all—a very special reindeer

With eyes so bright and cute little snout,
A handsome four-footer without a doubt.
Together all closed in and gathered near;
In unison, letting out a heartfelt cheer.

Some in crowd did shed tear or two,
While others dispensed quite a few
As heads lowered in humble prayer,
Requesting Almighty's blessing ‘n care.

Thus, begins another precious life;
Ahead the challenges, the joys, the strife.
Onward, continuation of The Master Plan
To beat the odds by the power of—I can!
