On Having Connections In The Judicial System Poem by RIC BASTASA

On Having Connections In The Judicial System

you always
think about
a connection

ask me
i do not have
a connection

but i know
about connections
and how, i must tell
you now,

how it has demeaned
us all.
how it has destroyed
the system of

right and just,
of the upright
and the meritorious,

i am disconnected.
i have disconnected myself
from all your

foolishness. i have an
educated guess,
i have calculated the
risk,

i just think that you
do not really know
what you are saying....
