On Mastering The Self Poem by Kenneth Maswabi

On Mastering The Self

There are no achievements
All inquiries are self-imposed
Not to discover anything new
But to face the Truth and be full of it
The face of the self is the substance of being
Don't look for any other erotic feelings
Or submerge yourself in the ecstasy of imagination
The self is a tasteless, stateless and timeless entity
The universe cannot contain the full meaning of being
Eternity is the only realm where the self is truly experienced
To master the self, first you have to disrobe yourself of all material needs
And be present inside the dimensionless ocean of awareness
Where the only meaningful possession and obsession is unconditional Love
The taste of Love surpasses the taste of life
Mastering the self is a journey towards the discovery of the unfolded canvas of existence
Here, the fabric and nature of everything is Love
So, to master the self, you have to be the Love
And be in Love forever
Love is not a condition, it's a state of being
Totally beyond anything you have ever experienced
It is as deep as it is wide, it is the everlasting reality
Love is the ecstasy of being
The annihilation of every particle of ego
The perfect life is illuminated by the sacred Light
Love and Light feed on each other to give birth to the perfect Life
To master the self is to go outside life as we know it
And be the fountain of hope
The pillar of existence and the everlasting being
To master the self is to be with God
