On Our Bodies Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

On Our Bodies

Your body,
My body,
Our bodies;
Illegal lust!
With the shadows of our sins among us.

The muse of the lust of this world!
Of the path well trodden;
Strong wind!
With the blue waves;
Stripes!
On our bodies.

Flow, low!
Flush, push, blush, hush, mush, Cush, brush, lush, rush, crush, gush, bush;
Illegal lust!
With the shadows of the evening across the sky.

many, any!
With the stripes on our bodies;
Blush, flush!
With the muse of our life-styles on this earth;
Blush, hush!
Please, lease, ease, tease, cease, crease, grease;
With the illegal lust of mankind.
