On Seeing His Lifeless Body Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

On Seeing His Lifeless Body

When I saw the lifeless body of my eldest brother,
I felt it so much broken
On seeing him lying on the floor
In tears,
Telling a saga of life
Told otherwise,
Life's feelings and experiences shared with,
Crude realities, hardships,
Old-time discipline and generation gap,
Nepotism, bureaucracy, legislation
Crime and punishment,
Fashion, cinema and entertainment
Discussed we,
History, politics,
Archaeology, historiography,
Historicity and constitutionalism.

I used to discuss with him
History, politics,
British history, American history,
Buddhist history, history of freedom struggle,
Martyrs and jail diaries,
Ancient India, greater India,
History of political parties and ideologies,
About trends in Indian politics,
The politics of caste and creed and division,
Who's who of constitution?
