On Seeing Small Poor Girls Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

On Seeing Small Poor Girls

My joy knew no bounds
When I the poor small girls
Going to school

The small poor girls
Dressed in white skirt
And blue frock

Going to primary school,
Walking the edges of the road,
Wanting to cross

Hamlet girls, rural girls,
Country girls,
Poor girls, tribal girls.
