On Shoulders Of The Giants Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

On Shoulders Of The Giants

On shoulders of the giants

In times I do the things
Just because am selfish
-later though sit and ask
-who gave you such a right?
-to speak and or write?
-make a mess?

Mesmerised, I think deep:
-of whose rites?
-right or wrong?

In times too I read them
-feel ashamed,
-get uptight.

Or find them suitable
-sit upright,
-stand tall.

But always question me;
Encourage and force me:
-be aware and act wise,
-to do so I cannot
-unless I stand on shoulders of
-the greats and giants…
-penetrate into minds of artists
-pen's, pencil's, thoughts, speech

My efforts and research
If succeeds take me there
-feel happy, satisfied.

In case of failure though
-lower head, embarrassed
-for having been nonsense.

In such times kneel and beg:
-oh greats
-of the past and today
-please come with demean
-be mentors that I need; as have been.
