On Success You And I Poem by Francis Duggan

On Success You And I

On success you and i cannot agree
Those who are successful to you are not so to me
Of the praises of celebrities you love to sing
But success as is said can be a relative thing
On your idea of success you are one of the majority
Which leaves me as one of the minority
A successful person to me is loving, caring and kind
And on the helping of others is always inclined
Our views on success poles apart you and i
Though on some things as most do we see eye to eye
Your ideas of success are quite different to mine
Suppose we must agree on this to differ and this suits me fine
You and i look on this in a different way
But it is each to their own as the wise one does say.
