On The Arch Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

On The Arch

On the arch

Main purpose of my job,
Was logistic flight…

I was an officer,
Second, first lieutenant
To becoming major…

Visited world around,
Thanks to that sort of job.

Read and paid attention,
Discovered because cared!

Now, old dog in dark den,
I look back, remember,
Flashbacks of gone days!

Then flew V. I. H.
For Shah and King Hussein,
Shook hands of some leaders,
Listened, heard the looters,
Both in and out sights,
As liaison officer!

Mostly served the corrupts,
When flew peace and war!

With the books as friends,
Knew then as knew now:
"Fish rotten from head! "

Slogan in London,
On the arch of Subway:
"Down with shah! "

Rightly said Sir Acton,
The higher go leaders
The more are corrupted!

Wish had not seen to learn,
Ignorance is bliss!
