On The Edge Of A Dream Poem by soren Barrett

On The Edge Of A Dream

I never felt I belonged on the ground
a balloon in a bush of thorns
Ah, that I were a cloud looking down
a silk cocoon wrapped in a blue blanket that warms

Held in the arms of the sun
I would float on the wings of ethereal dreams
Lifted by the breeze, joining it as one,
in a strawberry sky, feeding on rainbow beams

Bathed in a shower of stars
Rinsed by the light of the moon
Dried by the passionate heat of Venus and Mars
Enchanted in unconditional love's womb
by a sirenic Morpheous tune

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Morpheous is god of dreams
