On The Porch Poem by Randy McClave

On The Porch

On this porch I sit
As long as the lord does permit,
In my chair I will rock
Back and forth like a ticking clock.
I have no answers for anything
As my heart does sing,
And as I sit on this porch
I still sit and rock back and forth.
I close my eyes and I happily hear
As I feel good energy here,
Good memories I do not lack
As I rock forward and then back.
I look at nature all about me
And then I listen to a tree,
And as I rock and then stand up and bow
I feel in my soul there are no worries now.
