On The Road - Poem by Roberta James Mitchell

i left my tears on the road,
and a plant grew up
in the place where they fell
it was a sad plant
and it didn't have any flowers,
nor any colors at all,
it was all gray and black,
and by nightime it was dry.

Roberta..you're very good. You tell big stories and evoké big emotions with fine details..that's good poetry in my book :) (Report) Reply
