On the Dragon Boat Day
By William He
Twining colorful threads around the arm.
Putting mugwort leaves and calamus on the doors.
The pomegranates saluting,
Blu-ray dances on his skull.
In the film noire movie resurrected to life,
His ingenuous face turns ghostly and wan.
More silent and dreary,
A fisherman wanders in the dusk with chanting stream.
Oriental legend sends so far its melancholy light.
Sky muffled in clouds affords no company there.
The dull green like a drumbeat,
Martyred music rises and falls.
His soul left bittersweet echoes in the void,
The sense gratification dispelling the gloom.
In the plum rains season,
Earthly passion is titular and ephemeral as orchid bud.
