On this very day a month ago
I encountered a blessing
A blessing that is you
A blessing that added no sorrow
A blessing so true
A blessing never blue
On this very day a month ago

Things happened, things I can’t justify
The more I try, the more I get stupefied
I think I’m dreaming
How could a man like you have even looked at me?
Please I beg you, don’t wake me up
This is the closest to eternal bliss I have ever been
Today I dance, today I sing
On this very day a month ago

I don’t expect this to make sense
After all how will I know you have read it?
That it doesn’t make sense, is immaterial
Because we don’t make sense
Saved by grace, rebels by choice
That’s the story of me and you
