On This Earth Poem by Naveed Akram

On This Earth

On this earth you are worth a world of doings and deeds,
A sidekick, a barter, a goal has been uprooted from you.
About the heavens. we time ourselves as fire and lines
Of poetry, lines of buildings and words that concern.
Who has art now that screens of blue and white are ignited?

The big bang connects me to questions and answers of time,
This earth is a door to gifts of prophecy and their glare.
Our prison reminds us, poisons us, positions us so we care
About the general pain and suffering of those who are concerned.
Who makes science that subdues the ether as it tastes our universe?

My friendship outlasts, we pray like defence of the souls, we pray
And utter of ruination, complete annihilation, and then devastation.
The cosmos is a sign of majestic beings, praying to them is sublime,
Like prisoners are we, like beautiful men and women of the mirrors.
This universe obeys us as we subject our souls to the sublime void.
