On Wings Of Grace Poem by Rachel Hughes

On Wings Of Grace

V1

Jesus is the one who carries me through.

He gives me help in all I do.

He keeps me from sinking.

When my troubles get deep.

He's my comfort when I weep.

And when the mountains get too high to climb.

I can count on him every time.

(chorus)

In his love I take to flight.

On wings of grace to the highest height.

On wings of grace, I found my way.

In his love, the holy place.

In his love, on wings of grace.

(v2)

When I'm approaching the darkest edge of night.

I ride his wings into the morning light.

And when the valleys are way too low.

And there's no other way to go.

And the oceans are far too wide.

To get to the other side.

(bridge)

He swiftly takes me,

On wings of grace.

Up to my secret hiding place.

Where I hide under his pinions.

Under his wings of love and grace.

Where I enter into the holy place.

Surrounded by his love on wings of grace.

(chorus)

(v3)

No matter what troubles come my way.

Sun or rain, night or day.

My savior is always around.

There's no trouble that can keep me down.

There's no pain that can cave me in.

There's no danger that can do me in.

(chorus)

In his love I take to flight.

On wings of grace.

Out of the storm and plight.

On wings of grace, I found my way.

In his love, the holy place.

In his love, on wings of grace.
