Once Poem by Evelyn Judy Buehler

Once

Once I had a pretty bird,
Sang the sweetest sounds ever heard;
But it flew away one day...

Once there was the reddest rose,
Beauty of the garden, I suppose;
But its petals blew away one day...

Once there was yellow butterfly,
Whose dance was lovely.Oh, my!
But on a breeze drifted away...away...

Once there was a honey-bee,
Searching for its honey tree;
But from sight it got away...away...

Once was God's remembrance,
Which in all its golden radiance,
Came to stay...came to stay.
