Once Poem by Justin Fitzpatrick

Once

Rating: 3.0

Once was a memory left unscathed
What a happy innocent event
It whacked a nerve
It scarred

Then it cracked slowly
Hesitant to re-grow
It could not
It died

Emotions are released
Don’t have time
Tidy up
Go

Deal with broken
Free yourself
Breath
Breath
