Once I Walked With Angels Poem by Dan McGonagle

Once I Walked With Angels

Once I walked with angels

Hand in hand we'd make our way

To the park where they played happily

It's not like that today

Once I walked with angels

My kids if truth be told

To me they were just heavenly

Worth more than any gold

Yes once I walked with angels

With innocence in their eyes

Now all we have are memories

Some good... some filled with sighs

I wish I could go back there

Those days were filled with love

For each moment that I spent there

Was a gift from God above

I sometimes think of those Times and I have to catch my breath with a tear in my eye. Although that was a beautiful piece on wonderful memories, I also felt a sadness..just couldn't stop it. Thankyou for sharing Dan. Regards...Sharon.
