Once The Living King Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Once The Living King

Once The LivingKing

Our dreams were scattered like the dry leaves and dusts,
Crowned and twisted by the wind,
To placed a hollow wreath of leaves,
To crown you once the king that you were

Many men may feel as i felt,
The letters, lithographic inscriptions speaks once of a man alive with living atoms,

You were once a living song,
You voice were the echoes of the living planet,

Once you came like the howls of the wolves,
Thesharp screeches of the night owls,

Your fight for a domain, a territory were legendary,
You were roaring like the king of jungle,

And mother earth gave you those spaces,
Fit for a solitary king to congregate his own kingdom,

Anecdotes and heirarchies, your place for authenticity was the features of these times,

The breathing son called Adam,
After Adam was a man called Saul, a Pabloor a Richardo,

There were all kinds of nomdeplumes,
All kinds of nomenclatures, individual signatures that proved you walked this living earth, and thrived on these living streets,
Sweating with the heat of the sun and feeling the chills of the midnight air,

Now lying in your grave in the supined in the undertows ofloss,
Still the the wind in surreptious signs,
Placed this round twists of hollowedleaves and dusts to crown you the fallen king.

Acknowleged,
Placed homage as i stood before your grave.
