A Brave Man Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

A Brave Man

Rating: 5.0

A Brave Man

The dreams continues,
The vocies keep pleading, Be brave, be strong, stand for us,

The knees are weak unable to take more steps,
Yet as old as time the spirit are unwilling to submit to defeat,

The lossing of a face to the enemy, is not an option, to save my friends,
I raised my hands for more of the wild tauntings,

I raised my hand for more of the challenge,
I raised my fists for more of your puny blows,
like insect bites to a hard carapace,
I can take the sting,

I am not a demon,
But with this war, i intend to win,

And if winning serves this grace, a purpose,
That i was a man standing, unyielding,
Until all that obstacles are overcome,

But i am not alone, i am the millionth of any man,
Who is principled and will go down with my sinking ship into the oceans of destiny.
