One Aisle....Over - At Office Max Poem by James B. Earley

One Aisle....Over - At Office Max

Author's note:
Mike Erickson, may your convalescing move forward with an acute sense of purpose; rejuvenation its ultimate aim. The two ladies I encountered this morning shopping at Office Max; your wife Jeannie, and her friend Monica Tipton, both gathering artistic supplies with you in mind, suggest you're pursuing your journey in capable hands. Be well, my friend! - 29 July 2018

Appreciating life's magic
Simply pondering the facts
Who would've ever thought
....That Office Max....

Having a mind of its own
Might brighten ones way
...Nothing....spectacular
Just an ordinary Sunday

Yet clothed in mystery
'Twas a curious refrain
....One aisle over
Somebody's calling my name

Retracing.....a few steps
Exploding in view...
"Good morning Mr Earley
.....I thought...it was you"

Two lovely ladies....
I hadn't seen in a while
Pulchritudinous surprise
Right there in the aisle

....Interesting...life's magic
Its spiritual impact
.....One aisle....over
At Office Max
