One Day Poem by the Nickster

One Day

One day I will tell you what I really want to say
One day my heart will not be guarded for Truth to spew your way
One day my eyes will lower and my hands will fidget too
One day my heart will race as my throat evokes what's due
One day your ears will hear, 'I'm so in love with you'
One day you won't believe me
One day you may regret
One day you'll want to flee
And, you'll wish we'd never met
But, for now I am honored to call you my best friend.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Funny thing about love-it sneaks up unexpectantly and leaves you with a choice: do you risk wearing your true feelings or do you mask them?
