One Day You Would Know Poem by Pradip Chattopadhyay

One Day You Would Know

One day you would know,
As you hold back the sea in your eyes
And the thunder steals the blue from your heart,
That you never could reach the sunshine spot
Where I waited to catch you in my arms
And fly into dreams that never die!
One day you would know,
When the sands shift to expose the barrenness
And the yellowed pages crumble in your hands,
That you never could reach the sunshine spot
Where I waited to carry you in my arms
And fly to a rainbow that never fades!
