One Finger - Poem by Dennis Walker

With one finger I trace the face that I love
O how I sing praise to the lord up above
For giving me this angel to be by my side
She stays true through life’s rough ride

For many years we two have been one
As time goes by our love grows so strong
With passion and care we two embrace
Just one finger used to touch that loving face

We have been through rough time’s bad times too
But one thing I am sure our love it is true
To never part is my only plan
To make her happy whenever I can

As we get older and life starts to slow
I want her near me always that is all I know
So I lift up my hand and start to trace
With one loving finger my angels face.
