One Frosty Morning Poem by Jane Davis

One Frosty Morning

Rating: 5.0

I walked the lonely village street,
Were pavements glistened beneath my feet,
Above that building tall and grey,
Began the life of another new day,
My footsteps echoed loud and clear,
Soft morning breezes aroused my ear,
Cool running water at my side,
Let dry leaves hurriedly ride.

Pass the day and come the night,
Now the darkness, gone the light,
Winds blow and stars appear,
Gone is the day, rests drawing near.
