One Last Chance - Poem by Cheyenne Magee
Staring off into space
blank look upon my face
waiting for the time and place you hold out your hand.
How many hours do you wait to see
the smile on my face as you turn my way
All I ask is one last chance to be your one and only.
The smile on your face as I lean into you,
brings heat to my cheeks and a beat to my heart
and you continue to care even as I tell you of the past.
My one last chance at happiness
and you are still standing there
proving you care
Thank you for my one last chance....
