One Lie Leads To Another Lie So Happens To Be True Poem by Francis Duggan

One Lie Leads To Another Lie So Happens To Be True

One lie leads to another lie so happens to be true
And to those who always tell the truth great respect is their due
For with such people you know where you stand since to you they do not lie
That to their own selves they remain true of them none can deny.

One lie leads to another lie that always is the case
And for different reasons people lie some lie for to save face
And others lie for financial gain they live by their deceit
There is all kinds in human kind and every kind one meet.

One lie leads to another lie and some lie easily
To defame someone with their words in that no harm they see
We sow the seeds of bad karma those seeds we reap one day
What goes around always comes around and 'tis always been that way.

One lie leads to another lie with some lying is a trade
And sad to say that out of lying their fortune they have made
A con-man left the old widow Jane without a penny to her name
He robbed her of her life savings in his bogus scheme and for that he feels no shame.
