Alone I sit thinking of you
Alone I sit with nothing to do
Alone am I and we are apart
Two fractured pieces of a broken heart

I dream of a time
When we are together
Enjoying the fruit
Of each other

The distance between us is so far
The story that brings us together is long
I fight each and every day
To bring you close to me

If for only one moment in my life
You were beside me as my wife
I would be the happiest man alive
And would know true love as I never have
